Friendship Politics

Step One:
Find people you can talk to,
Hang out with,
 Common interests, perhaps.
Where you feel you fit in.

Step Two:
Falling out,
The bitching and back-stabbing.
Come out of that with your conscience
Unscathed.

Step Three:
Find those you
Trust,
Who'll keep your secrets and
Be there for you.

It's a lot more complicated than that
At the time.
But, in the end, all that matters is
"I like you,
I don't like you."
